The department of anesthesiology at NMH provides anesthetic support to all type of surgery including minimal access surgery, Urological cases, Joint Replacement Surgery, Oncology, ENT, Eye, Plastic Surgery, Trauma cases & Obstetrics & Gynecological cases. During the surgical procedure / operation the anesthesiologist monitors the function of patient's vital organs and provide anesthetic & pain relief services The department along with technical staff also provide pre and post operative pain relief for patient.

It has 5 Operation Theaters and 23 bedded Medical & Surgical ICU. All the OTs & ICU are Fitted with centralized Gas delivery system, equipped with modern anesthetic machine and other equipment needed for critical care.
